About me

From Engineer to Musician.

Hello, I am Carlos Severiche. I was born and raised on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, although I must say that I'm not the typical person from the area.
I am a guitarist musician with a great influence of contemporary jazz, although I have developed my discipline covering many styles.

I have lived most of my life in Barranquilla, Colombia, but it was during my residency in Málaga, Spain, where I took the definitive step towards music, leaving aside my career as an Engineer. I had the opportunity to produce my own music in the album "Sentido Común" (2011) and the beautiful experience of performing it with my CS Quartet group. I was also a resident musician at the prestigious CLC World and was a founding member of the Academia CanZion, as a Guitar and Musical Theory instructor.

My musical training has been self-taught and through private classes, although I am certified by the British institution Rockschool Limited in Popular Music Performance on electric guitar Grade 8, with an Outstanding rating.

In 2016, I returned to Colombia for a time, where I was also Guitar and Musical Language instructor at Instituto CanZion Barranquilla and other institutions in the city. I was also a guitarist in the musical band of Centro Bíblico Internacional.

Currently, I am in Málaga, Spain, and I work as a producer, session musician, and transcriber for various clients around the world through various online channels.
